The Renaissance of the Brighton Belle.

The Brighton Belle made its first public debut at Sandown last February 14th
using a small layout supplied to us by Atlas O of the USA.

She swept faultlessly round the track all day and what a beauty she is.

The 35 cm Pullman cars will be unique in the history of Gauge O tinplate with specially installed interiors and magically lit table lamps.

The artwork is based on the wonderful designs of LMC and graciously shared
with us by David Peacock of the Leeds Stedman Trust.

The motor unit is the proven sturdy mechanism that was developed and produced
by us for the ACE EMU series some ten years ago.

The Darstaed Brighton Belle will feature :
  1. 35 cm Pullmans comfortably taking curves down to 2 Ft radius.
  2. The coaches will be fitted with EMU type hooks.*
  3. Motor rated to 24 V DC. (AC/DC on request at extra charge).
  4. Power consumption of the whole train less than 2 Amps.
  5. Neutral switch to switch the motor off with lighting remaining lit.
  6. Lit lamps on all tables.
  7. Full interior fittings.
  8. Sprung bogies without visible side screw
  9. Lit route indicator
  10. Working rear light.
  11. Available in satin grey or white roofs to choice (standard production is white).
  12. Power transmission between the coaches by Marklin style double plugs.
  13. All packed in a handsome carrier case with space for one more 35 cm coach.
* The first Brighton Belle sets were issued with the traditional drop link hook, However some of our customers have brought to our attention that they would prefer a more rigid EMU type coupling. Those customers who like to change these may contact one of our distributors for a set of EMU couplings.

Darstaed will issue all three rakes of the Brighton Belle,
